FINRA has published their second draft technical specifications for the SLATE 6500 rule for reporting under the SEC’s upcoming 10c-1a regime.

Upon review, the high-level details that relevant industry participants need to know include that FINRA has now:

  • Provided JSON names
  • Identified Voluntary Fields, such as OMNI Loan ID
  • Cleared up the definitions for:
    • Data Types
    • Error Codes
  • Provided actual string counts.
Pirum and S&P Cappitech Market Intelligence are analyzing the specifications, including any differences from the initial draft, to enable the delivery of an efficient and accurate solution for Securities Lending reporting.

The incoming build will leverage our SFTR solution, which is used by our clients across the industry. This existing foundation and expertise makes us well-positioned to speed up client readiness for 10c-1a, with the least amount of lifting.
