FinTech Pirum’s employees have selected Child Bereavement UK as its charity of the year for 2023.

Pirum will be raising funds to support the charity's work with bereaved families.

Child Bereavement UK helps families to rebuild their lives when a child grieves or when a child dies. The charity supports children and young people (up to the age of 25) when someone important to them has died or is not expected to live, and parents and the wider family when a baby or child of any age dies or is dying.  Child Bereavement UK also provides training to professionals in health and social care, education, and the voluntary and corporate sectors, equipping them to provide the best possible care to bereaved families.

Pirum has created a series of award-winning, highly innovative and flexible services which are tailored to support the complexities of financial institutions across the world.  The company is aiming to raise funds for Child Bereavement UK by taking on fundraising challenges, setting up a payroll giving scheme and putting on fundraising events for staff.  Staff will also be volunteering for the charity at festivals for which Child Bereavement UK is a beneficiary and they will also be taking part in bereavement awareness training delivered by the charity.

Wendy Bray, Corporate Partnerships Manager for Child Bereavement UK said: “We’re delighted to be Pirum’s Charity of the Year. Their fantastic fundraising will help us to support even more bereaved children, young people and families to rebuild their lives after the devastation of bereavement.”

Hayley Williams, Head of People for Pirum said: “We are proud to be supporting the fantastic work that Child Bereavement UK does for families all over the country. Our employees selected this critical charity as our Charity of the Year, and are excited to get involved in the many volunteering opportunities. I look forward to working closely with the Child Bereavement UK team on the events throughout this year.”
